Welcome to Lekdanling
Lekdanling (Tibetan for “place of good fortune”) is a new Tibetan cultural centre located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Hackney, East London. The centre was created in a spirit of openness and welcomes people from all walks of life who are interested in the study of the human mind, self-development and inner understanding.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our centre and we hope you will enjoy the wide range of activities and courses that Lekdanling has to offer.
Our activities include meditation and contemplation seminars, Tibetan yoga classes, calligraphy and language courses, arts workshops and lectures on Tibetan history, culture and art.
For example, our home page shows the practise of Yantra Yoga, a traditional type of Tibetan yoga, which specifically combines breath with movement. The fluid Tibetan calligraphy by Chogyal Namkai Norbu, means Place of Good Fortune.
Lekdanling is a charitable, non-profit organisation. All our courses and activities are on a donation basis, following the principle of generosity.
